Getting Serious about Planning

Seven weeks from today I'll be taking my first steps on the Camino. That's just 49 days!!! That reality has started to sink in and cause some serious butterflies in my belly. I have been revving up my preparations but it doesn't feel sufficient for my list of things to do.

And today my guide book from The Confraternity of St James arrived. Newly released this year, it should provide me with the most current information. There isn't as much detail as I had expected but it still gives me some idea of what to expect.

Reading the directions out of Porto brings flash-backs to following the red dots marking the self-guided walking tour that Carol and I did in Greece back in 2007. ( The original holiday for this blog!) This time I will be following yellow arrows and the iconic pilgrim's shell. Apparently they will be more abundant than the red dots were!

Now I can add reading the guide to my list of things to do!
